EDC Connector
The Eclipse Dataspace Components (EDC) is a collection of components for participating in data spaces. The EDC Connector is a component that provides secure and reliable access to data and its integration into different systems. The EDC Connector forms the basis for data exchange between MDS members and acts as an intermediary between providers and recipients. The decentralised architecture ensures data security and data sovereignty at all times.
Connector-as-a-Service (CaaS)
The Connector-as-a-Service (CaaS) is a service provided by MDS partners that members can use on request. By using CaaS, members do not have to install the EDC Connector themselves in their company's own infrastructure. Instead, they can use the connector as a software-as-a-service product via the MDS Portal and thus participate in the Mobility Data Space. Data security and data sovereignty are always guaranteed and data is still only exchanged between the contractual partners.
The CaaS is accessible via single sign-on from the portal and the number of users is unlimited. For more information, please contact our Community Management Team at community@mobility-dataspace.eu.
