Offer
Data exchange, expertise and support:
this is how participants benefit
Offer and purchase data
The Mobility Data Space connects people who offer mobility data with people who need it to develop and run new business models – simply, transparently, securely and with full added value for both sides. Providers maintain full data sovereignty at all times, meaning they decide who can use their data and for what purpose.
Access to service providers
The Mobility Data Space offers access to a broad network of service providers called the MDS Service Partners. They support participants at every step of the process, be it onboarding, identity management or business development.
Exchange with industry experts
The MDS brings together experts from start-ups, SMEs, public transport, municipalities, politics and science. Participants benefit from numerous, exclusive exchange and informative events.
Data Catalog
The data catalog:
the entire data offering at a glance

Data categories at a glance
Get an overview of the entire data offering with the help of predefined and standardized data categories – from real-time information on traffic jams and the availability of bike-sharing offers to the weather situation.

Filter options for specific searches
Are you looking for special data for your project? With the help of the filter options like data category, keywords or transport mode, etc., you can quickly find out what data the Mobility Data Space has to offer.

Information of the individual data sets
Have you found a dataset of interest to you? On the detail page of the dataset, you will find all the relevant metadata, such as the data description, the provider, the usage policy of the offer or the direct link (Access URL) to consume the offer through the connector.
EDC: Connecting with the MDS
The Eclipse Data Space Connector (EDC) is an open-source software component that provides a secure, simple and efficient connection to data spaces and their participants. With the EDC, using data spaces is simple and reliable, independent of platforms and ecosystems. The decentralized architecture ensures your data security and maintains sovereignty.
With the EDC, using the Mobility Data Space becomes quite simple. As of April 2023, the EDC is in use at the MDS.
